POCKET FILM FESTIVAL 2025
The Pocket Film Festival 2025 ran from 19th - 28th September across Stafford and beyond. This was the eighth year we have delivered the festival, since its inception in 2017.
We worked with a number of Library venue partners and many returning venue partners this year through Unit Twelve Gallery and Holy Trinity Church, Eccleshall. We also welcomed a number of new venue partners including Acton Trussell Community Centre and Holy Trinity Church, Baswich. The new venue partnerships gave us more opportunities to engage audiences with film experiences.

The festival programme included the following screenings and events: The Penguin Lessons – Gatehouse Theatre, I Am Martin Parr – Unit Twelve Gallery, Relaxed screening of Robot Dreams with creative activity – Baswich Library, Something Old, Something New (animated short films, followed by a talk about a museum object from Staffordshire's Arts and Museum Collection) – Baswich Library, A Bunch of Amateurs – Baswich Library, Paddington - 10th Anniversary screening – Cannock Library, Hundreds of Beavers – The Brewhouse Arts Centre, Burton, Kensuke's Kingdom – Baswich Library, Flow – Holy Trinity Church, Baswich, Inside Out 10th Anniversary Screening – Acton Trussell Community Centre, Brief Encounter 80th Anniversary Screening – Acton Trussell Community Centre, Blackmail with live musical accompaniment – Holy Trinity Church, Eccleshall.
