Deck the Halls with films, beer and pizza, “tra-la-la” etc… We are excited to be working with Candid Beer and bring you a week-long festive treat of classic Christmas movies and some modern-day short films for all the family (including you Grandad!). Just pop down with the family to relax and watch some festive films. We can’t think of a better way to get in the Christmas mood… This early Christmas present just keeps on giving!
Our little festive film festival is made possible with support from Film Hub Midlands through funds from the National Lottery. Film Hub Midlands support people to watch, show, and make films in the Midlands.
All screenings will take place outdoors under Candid Beer's stretch tent at the Winter Village. The space will have outdoor heaters, but we recommend bringing warm clothes or blankets to make sure your experience is cozy.

Arthur Christmas – Mon 19 December, 4-6pm
Each Christmas, Santa Claus delivers presents to every last child on Earth. But when the unthinkable happens, and Santa doesn’t deliver a present to one child It's up to Arthur, Santa's youngest son, to try and save the day! We hope you will join us to watch this classic computer animated feature film from Aardman Animations.

Frozen – Tues 20 December, 4-6pm
When their kingdom becomes trapped in perpetual winter, fearless Anna goes on an adventure with mountaineer Kristoff and his reindeer to find Anna's sister, Snow Queen Elsa, and break her icy spell. Their epic journey leads them to encounters with mystical trolls, and a comedic snowman, as they race onward in a bid to save their kingdom from winter's frozen grip. Let’s be honest, who doesn’t like Frozen!?

Festive Family Colour Box – Thurs 22 December, 2-4pm
Join us at Candid Beer for some Colour Box Christmas Crackers courtesy of Flatpack Festival.
There will be all sorts of Christmas creatures popping up in this selection of festive short films from around the globe, from eager elves to rambunctious reindeer and local artist Debbie Todd from Protean Art will be on hand to run a free creative activity during the event, so come along and make your own artwork and watch some festive family treats.

Festive Short Films Programme by Boxer Short – Thurs 22 December, 7-9pm
It's the most wonderful time of the year! And by that of course we mean time for some festive and wintry short films. It’s Boxer Short Films’ first trip out of Birmingham, so we’ve made sure to put a special programme together for you. We’ve got a wonderful mix of animation and docs, and even a festive thriller. So join us at Candid Beer for the psychedelic origins of Santa, a winter migration love story, and lots more shorts to fight off the bleak midwinter.

White Christmas – Friday 23 December, 4-6pm
Come and watch this Christmas classic starring Bing Crosby, a romantic tale that takes place in a Vermont lodge- where it is almost always, a "White Christmas." The star-studded cast is packed with several favourites from the era, and what's more, the film introduced to the world a number of catchy sing-along tunes and is also known for helping make the song "White Christmas" as iconic as it is today.
